Over the course of the journey our students impressed us by their willingness to engage with indigenous culture and the support staff who worked hard to provide them with a once in a lifetime experience. The videos below give an insight into their empathy, cooperation and sense of gratitude.
Chodron Ngawang impressed Bus 1 at one of the remote campsites when she sang an original composition about Uluru. Nobody knew she had spent the time putting this song together, and there was great applause after she sang to the staff and students from TCFS and a visiting group from a Dandenong high school. Unfortunately, no one videotaped the performance out in the bush, but Chodron and her friends agreed to record the song when they returned to Melbourne. The lyrics are able to be seen under the YouTube video if you visit the site.

Daevina and Alex, two students on bus 2, recorded this song in appreciation of Chris and Tabby, who were the driver and cook on our coach. They did an amazing job transporting dozens of people through 6000km of bush in a very limited amount of time. To honour their selflessness, our students recorded this song of appreciation out in the middle of nowhere.
